I was paying off my credit card bill today and realized I couldn't lick the envelope anymore. The funny thing is, I still tried to bring the envelope to my mouth due to habit. Then I realized I was hitting my teeth and said "doiiiiii!"
To compensate, I dipped a finger in water to activate the adhesive strip and sealed the envelope. There are a lot of things you don't realize you do until you suddenly can't do it anymore. Licking envelopes is one of those things. Imagine if both my hands were in casts. That would suck. Plus, I'd get bad credit.
