Day 22: End Of Conference

The conference ended today. As I'm writing this, the Trojans are playing on TV. I'm kind of conflicted as to whether to root for USC or Arkansas.

As the blood of Westwood flows in my veins, I should denounce all things South Central. On the other hand, I really despise the way the media consistently overlooks the Pac-10 Conference. Some call it "Eastern Bias." I tend to think that the difference in time zones gives us a natural disadvantage. Whenever we play, the rest of the country is sleeping.

Combined with Stanford's embarrassing defeat yesterday and Arizona's marginally less embarrassing loss today, the pundits have jumped aboard with their standard finger pointing and knee slapping. I'm glad UCLA, Washington State, and Oregon (squeaking by) won their games.

The construction helmet is part of a team-building exercise at the conference. That's all I'll say about the subject.
