I visited Dr. Surpure today. He took a quick glance at my x-rays, looked at the teeth, and said that everything was on track. I asked him about the trouble he encountered during the operation. Apparently, he couldn't snap my right jaw back into place after breaking it. So he ended up shaving off more bone than originally intended. Anyway, we will continue to monitor it to make sure that it heals correctly. But so far, it hasn't been troublesome. In fact, the right side of my face is back to 100% when it comes to nerves. The left side of my face is about 50%.
Then, I got the bad news. I have to remain wired shut for 4 weeks instead of 3! Afterwards, I'll be put on rubber bands. I'm still going to try to make a trip back down to So Cal late March, early April. I will need a ride to the airport.
