I went back to work today. It was nice to see everyone again.
It's amazing how much changes when you're gone. New office. New desk. New neighbors. But best of all, the sous-chef brought me soup. I had sent him an email yesterday to tell him about my jaw issue. So now, he's going to bring me creamy soup from the main campus in the mornings. I just have to heat it up in microwave. Gratefulness, thy name is Kevin.
Seriously, what other company does this?
Anyway, it was a tremendous feeling to work again. I felt like I was slowly wasting away at home, watching media leeches' umpteenth coverage of the Anna Nicole ordeal. The woman's dead. Have some common decency and leave her alone!
It's like "Anna Nicole... the hidden tapes. Also, was Anna's son poisoned? Coming up next, Anna's baby's daddy. Howard speaks! And tonight, our interview with Anna's mother. Did Anna really hate her? Only we have footage of Anna's funeral. Anna's legacy. Anna this... Anna that. Anna Anna Anna." Who the hell cares? Hey, media sharks! Weren't you jumping on the let's mock Fat-Anna bandwagon just a few years ago? Stop acting like you care about her as a person all of a sudden.
By the way, there's a war in Iraq, Scooter Libby got his verdict, and Britney Spears is still wearing wigs.
